Rochester hip-hop heads have a date circled: Thursday, August 13, when OT The Real takes the stage at The Club at Water Street.

Doors open at 8 PM.

Who’s OT The Real: If you’ve been following the wave coming out of upstate New York over the past few years, you already know the name of the Philadelphia representer. OT The Real has become a fixture in the Black Soprano Family camp, trading verses with genre heavyweights like Benny the Butcher, 38 Spesh, and Rick Hyde.

He’s part of a scene that’s carried the torch for gritty, lyrics-first rap while still packing rooms with hooks that stick.

This stop comes right in the middle of a short run that also hits Atlanta and Buffalo, putting Rochester in good company as part of a tight East Coast swing.
